Referralsoft is a web services based software company that builds and promotes its referral-generating, email and web marketing software Brightersite as well as supporting franchise owners who sell CRM software to their client bases. Referralsoft was founded in 2004 by sales, technology and marketing professionals and is headquartered in Amesbury, MA with staff working across the country. Referralsoft’s management and staff bring years of collective experience in marketing, business strategy, information technology, and project management.

BrighterSite was inspired by a local mortgage advisor who grew his business exclusively through referrals. He was so proud of this fact that it became his tagline and was printed on his business cards. Twice a year, he would send letters to his satisfied clients with a stack of business cards asking for them to be handed out to friends and family. Referralsoft saw an opportunity to extend this campaign to a sophisticated online referral application utilizing the power and speed of electronic communications.

BrighterSite was originally launched and branded as ReferralSoft. The name and site change occurred in 2010.

Jeff Till, Founder and General Manager
Jeff is the founder, inventor, and general manager of Referralsoft and its related business interests. Jeff has 18 years of experience in business strategy, marketing, and technology. Jeff is also the founder and general manager for the Strategy and Methods Laboratory, Inc. (SAM-Lab), a thought leadership writing and graphics agency serving the management consulting and technology industry. Prior to starting Referralsoft and SAM-Lab, Jeff was Vice President of Strategic Marketing at HNW Inc., a marketing and consulting firm focused on CRM in the high-net-worth marketplace. Prior to HNW, Jeff was one of the pioneering consultants within Pricewaterhouse's CRM strategy practice. Jeff began his career at A.T. Kearney Management Consulting Services and EDS. Jeff holds a BS in Fine Arts and is a hobbyist artist, musician, writer, and web developer. His wife, Jennifer, and his children Huck, Adie, and Vy, live North of Boston.

Joe VanDorp, System Administrator / Director of Web Operations
Joe oversees the daily operations, service, sales, performance, and maintenance of Referralsoft systems and accounts. He a web developer experienced in both client side and server side scripting. On the client side he codes in HTML, Javascript, (JQuery), and CSS. On the server side he codes in PHP for MySQL databases. He is also very experienced with Wordpress and can code Wordpress plugins and themes. He is also trained in the Adobe Creative Suite with proficiencies in Photoshop and Illustrator. His favorite software for coding is Notepad++.

Amanda Garfield, Visual Information Specialist
Amanda is an artist and designer and has previously worked as a freelance graphic designer and presentation specialist. In addition to her experience in graphics, she has worked on numerous environmentally-sensitive, community-based planning and design projects. She is currently a master's candidate in Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning at Tufts University and holds a degree in Industrial Design from Rhode Island School of Design.

Naftali Beder, Visual Information Specialist
Naftali is an artist and designer. In addition to freelance illustration, he has created an award-winning iPhone game with his brother, and has had art internships at Microsoft Game Studios and MIT's GAMBIT Game Lab. He graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2010, and plays the bassoon.
